Screencast Lectures
Screencast is a visual tool for communication in teaching produced as a digital recording of a computer screen output. Often the recording is applied with a voice over explaining what is going on at the screen. The recording can be of a slideshow, an instruction to a software e.g. an excel spreadsheet, a database, a video playing on your screen or a series of images.
The screencast format allows for the recap or expression of academic points and concepts, models, graphs, tables or arguments that the students can benefit from being able to revisit several times during the semester.
At the workshop you will:
- get hands-on experience with the screencast tool
- get insight and inspiration into the many ways to use screencast
- prepare your own screencast lecture
