Making teaching development easier – together
You may recognise the situation: you have a good idea for your teaching. A new tool, a new activity, a new approach you would really like to try. But everyday teaching and deadlines get in the way, and the idea is postponed to “next semester”.
Working with teaching development in a collegial space makes implementation easier and more sustainable — simply because you are not alone in turning your ideas into practice.
This is exactly where collegial sparring can make a difference.
From ideas to action
Structured collegial sparring offers a framework for working with your own didactical challenges together with colleagues. You define the focus, support each other’s thinking, and move from ideas to concrete next steps within a manageable time frame.
To support this, we have developed two Absalon course rooms (in Danish and English) with guided self-study pathways. The course rooms include short explanatory videos and ready-to-use materials that make it easy to get started — whether you are new to collegial sparring or looking for a more structured approach.
Why a collegial space?
Many teachers experience that collegial sparring lowers the threshold for change. When teaching development becomes a shared process, it is easier to prioritise time, maintain momentum, and actually implement new ideas.
At SUND, structured collegial sparring is also recognised as an approved activity for didactic and pedagogical competence development for experienced teachers.
