Webinar: Use Zoom Breakout Rooms for Active Learning
The video conference system Zoom provides a breakout room tool which is e.g. useful to engage students in discussions, casework, problem-solving, or other kinds of student activity. Also, breakout rooms can be used in longer sessions such as workshops and student group work. However, it can be a daunting task to break the students into groups if you are not familiar with the tool.
In this webinar, you will both be taken through the technical stuff and experience breakout rooms from the students' point of view.
In addition, we will give you simple though effective didactical tips on how to facilitate the discussions in the breakout rooms.
After the webinar you will be able to:
- setup breakout rooms - the technical stuff
- handle self-assigned groups
- use didactical approaches to facilitate the group work
